Bus Drivers

As of July 1, 2007, any person seeking employment with Sevier County Schools will be subject to a criminal history records check and have his/her name submitted to the Department of Children's Services to determine if the potential employee was found by DCS to have committed child abuse.


Application Process for Bus Driver

Once an applicant has been offered employment, the following steps should be taken:

  1. Obtain a completed and signed Employment Authorization Form from Danny Ellis and an information sheet with directions on registering for a background check.  

  2. Complete a Support Staff Application.

  3. Register for your background check and fingerprinting online at http://www.identogo.com/.  

  4. Call NetGain at 865-429-5800 and schedule a pre-employment physical. Physicals must be completed BEFORE attending orientation.

  5. Attend a policies and benefits orientation.
After the physical has been complete and the employee has been fingerprinted, the employee should contact Betty Brackins or Holly Burcham by email or by calling 865-453-4671 to confirm a date to attend policies and benefits orientation. Please allow up to 3 hours for the orientation and sign-up process. All employees must arrive ON TIME for orientation. Late arrivals will be asked to attend the next scheduled orientation.

Prior to attending orientation, you should review the benefits that are offered to you. At orientation, you will be selecting your health and dental providers.

Items to Bring to Orientation

  • Employment Authorization Form (completed & signed by Danny Ellis)
  • Letter from Danny Ellis Concerning Drug Testing and Special License
  • Drivers License
  • Social Security Card
  • Social Security Numbers, Date of Birth for Dependents and Beneficiaries
  • If seeking family insurance coverage, please bring birth certificates for children and the most recent tax returns as poof of marriage; a marriage certificate alone can not be accepted.
