As of July 1, 2007, any person seeking employment with Sevier County Schools will be subject to a criminal history records check and have his/her name submitted to the Department of Children's Services to determine if the potential employee was found by DCS to have committed child abuse.
After the Job Offer
Follow these steps for employment:
Obtain an employment authorization form completed and signed by the school principal and an information sheet with directions for background check pre-registration.
Call All-Care Medical at 865.774.7481 and schedule a pre-employment physical. Physical must be completed BEFORE attending orientation.
Attend a policies and benefits orientation. Orientation is held on Mondays at 1:00 p.m. in the board room at the central office. Please allow up to 3 hours for the orientation and sign-up process. All employees must arrive ON TIME for orientation. Late arrivals will be asked to attend the next scheduled orientation.
Prior to attending orientation, you should review the benefits that are offered to you. At orientation, you will be selecting your health and dental providers.

Employment Authorization form (completed & signed by principal)
Drivers license
Social security card
Social security numbers and date of birth for dependents and beneficiaries
Superintendent's copy of teacher certificate
$48 money order for TBI background check (made payable to Cogent Systems) or proof of payment via credit card. NO cash, personal checks or business checks will be accepted.
*If a teacher wishes to have experience considered for payroll purposes, an official experience form may
be picked up at the Central Office or downloaded here. The form must be sent to former schools systems by the employee. Experience must be verified and approved by the state department before being considered for salary compensation. Download Official Experience Form
