The Sevier County School System will be sharing limited COVID-19 data regarding cases within the school district. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects student records, which would include student health records. Similarly, both the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) protect staff member's health records. School systems can still disclose certain information, as long as such a disclosure cannot be used to ascertain personally identifable information. Parents and community members interested in reviewing system-wide COVID-19 data may do so here.  This information will be updated by the close of business each Monday and Thursday moving forward.
