I love teaching!  My first year was spent at Sevierville Intermediate School and then I moved to Pi Beta Phi in 2016.  My son, Raymond, attended Pi Beta Phi through elementary school and is currently a student at Gatlinburg-Pitman.

I was born in Santiago Cuba. We left there when I was about 5 as refugees. Became a citizen when I was about 13 years old. Studied pre-med at NYU, but switched over to a 2 year RN program. Graduated with an Associate degree in Science in 1980. Practiced nursing in various capacities until 1995. Then became stay at home mom who ran the family businesses. Entered the Sevier County School system in 2005 in the capacity of a special education assistant. Joined the cohort in 2009. Graduated ETSU in 2014 with my Bachelor's degree in Education. Branched off into ESL and the rest is history. Love my 2 children and my three dogs. Love to sing, dance and play trivia. Love my profession and job. My grandmother was a nurse and mom was a teacher. I have done both. I had big shoes to fill. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. My first career was that of a Registered Nurse.
