Removal from Remote Learning
If a student is removed from Remote Learning for any reason (plagiarism, attendance, behavior, lack of academic progress, failure to engage in any work for ten school days, etc.), parents will be notified in writing of the removal. If the student does not begin attending school using the Traditional option, the student may be considered truant and referred to court.
Transitioning from Remote Learning to Traditional Learning
Families who opt to participate in remote learning may change their selected instructional model (traditional or remote) by the set district deadline for each semester. The S-Team process will be utilized for situations where mid-semester changes are requested/needed.
Remote Learner Withdrawal from Sevier County Schools
Parents of remote learners who wish to withdraw their student from the Sevier County School System for any reason should contact the student’s traditionally assigned school’s main office. All obligations such as turning in books, technology devices, paying fees and/or fines, etc., must be taken care of before withdrawing to another school. Student’s records will not be forwarded until all obligations are cleared.
