A student’s cumulative grade point average (GPA) is determined at the end of the seventh semester. The GPA is the total of 8 terms’ grades divided by the total number of courses attempted. The following value is assigned to each letter grade. Grading is uniform in all the courses.
Honors and Category I Courses
In honors and Category I courses, three points will be added to the six weeks average and final exam scores unless there is a state end of course exam as the final. Category I classes are defined to be America at War, Anatomy/Physiology, Ancient History, Biology 2, Calculus, Chemistry 2, Physics, and any foreign language 3 & 4. State Dual Credit and WSCC classes will add four points to the six weeks average and semester test scores.
