Dr. Tammy Valentine is excited to begin her fourth year as the Principal at Sevierville Primary School! It has been her honor to be a part of the Sevierville Primary (SPS) family for the past fourteen years. Prior to becoming the Principal, she served as the Assistant Principal for eleven years. She looks forward to continuing to build on current relationships with students and families that have been established over the years as we strive for EXCELLENCE HAND IN HAND.
It has been and continues to be her privilege of teaching in Sevier County Schools for the past thirty-four (34) years. Her teaching career begin in 1984 as the Hearing Impaired Specialist for hard of hearing and deaf students. In 1991, she moved into a SPED Resource teaching position at Sevierville Intermediate School (SIS) and taught students with a variety of disabilities. After a few years as a resource teacher, she had the opportunity to serve as a SPED Consulting Teacher/LEA Representative for SIS and SPS. In 2004, she was given the opportunity to serve as assistant principal at SPS and looks forward to continuing as the principal. She encourages parent engagement as we continue on this journey of learning, our goals are to ensure that the needs of every student at SPS are met.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family on their family farm, relaxing on the back porch reading, watching our UT VOLS sport teams, and watching sunsets at the beach.
She looks forward to this being a great year at Sevierville Primary School as everyone continues on this lifelong journey of learning! If you need anything, she is always available. Please feel free to contact her if you have any questions or concerns.
