  • School systems can still disclose certain information, as long as such a disclosure cannot be used to ascertain personally identifable information. The Sevier County School System will only be able to share limited data about cases within our district to protect the privacy of our students and staff. We will not be breaking down numbers by school. This information will be updated by the close of business on Mondays and Thursdays moving forward.

  • School systems can still disclose certain information, as long as such a disclosure cannot be used to ascertain personally identifable information.  The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects student records, which would include student health records. Similarly, both the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) protect staff member's health records.
