Spring 2023 junior parent letter

Parents,

We wanted to keep you informed of upcoming dates, events and activities.

February 2          Dual Enrollment and junior parent meeting-auditorium

                              6:00-6:30-Dual enrollment will be discussed by WS-info, benefits, admissions, classes offered

                              at SHS—there are few new ones

                              6:30-7:00-Counselors will present information about the senior year

February 3          College mini fair -SHS gym 9:45-11:00-divided in 3 groups    

February 16        Parent/teacher conference  4:00-7:00pm 

February 20         No school-Holiday

February 21         Pre-registration for senior classes during 1^st,2^nd,and 4^th blocks

February  24     4th six weeks ends.  Make sure your teenager is passing.

March 6             Report cards

March 7             All juniors will be taking the ACT at school-free of charge-no sign up needed on your part

March 10           ACT registration deadline for the April 15^th National test. Register at www.act.org 

March 13-17      Spring break

April 4                 Parent/teacher conference  4:00-7:00 pm

April 7                 Half day-holiday

April 10               No school

April 19 & 20      EOC testing

April 22               Seymour High School Community Carnival–details later

April 26                Report cards

May 3 & 4            EOC testing

May 25                 Graduation-4:30 at LeConte Convention Center, Pigeon Forge

May 29                 Holiday-No school
