ETSU Roan Scholar Scholarship: Resume due to your counselor by August 27th to be considered for nomination. Students planning on attending ETSU are eligible.

New: P.E.O. - Star Scholarship is a highly competitive one-time $2,500 scholarship recognizing exceptional high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership, academic achievement, extra curricular activities, community service and the likelihood for success in the future. Applicants must be recommended by a local P.E.O. Chapter.
A woman is eligible to be recommended for the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship provided she:
- Exhibits excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success
- Has a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Is a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada and under the age of 20
- Plans to attend an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the United States or Canada, full-time or part-time, in the fall of the academic year following high school graduation
- Is recommended by and receives the vote of a local P.E.O. chapter
Students interested in being nominated by the P.E.O. Chapter must submit your resume to your counselor by September 10th. (If selected by the P.E.O. chapter, there will be an interview and essay requirement as well)
New: The TSDAR Scholarship is a $2500 scholarship granted to one graduating senior who will be attending an accredited 4-year U.S. college. Please see the attached application for more details and the application. The deadline to turn in the application to your school counselor is September 27th

New: TSDAR American History Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior who will be attending an accredited 4-year college and plans on studying American History and or American Government. New: The Heisman High School Scholarship program honors the nation’s most accomplished, community-minded high school senior athletes. By inviting male and female students from schools across the country to share their stories of leadership and impact, the program aims to inspire all students to harness their potential, push their limits, and use their talents not only to advance their own futures, but to improve the communities and world around them. New: Coca Cola Scholar: High school seniors - apply now to be one of 150 Coke Scholars and win a $20,000 college scholarship! The deadline is Oct. 31 at 5pm Eastern. (3.0 GPA required)

New: Loretta McCoin TN State Scholarship
- $2,500 scholarship for a young woman accepted to a 4 year college (must already be accepted)
- Must have minimum GPA of 3.0
- Awards based on character, personality, high purpose, financial need, and PEO recommendation
- If interested, submit your resume/activity sheet to your counselor by October 20th, 2021.
United States Senate Youth Program: The application for the 2021-22 United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) is open. This opportunity is open to junior or senior high school students. Two students will be selected as Tennessee delegates to participate in the annual Washington Week experience which includes a variety of events that promote a unique understanding of the structure of the United States government. The program sponsor, the Hearst Foundation, also offers selected state finalists a $10,000 undergraduate scholarship. Additional information, including the application link, can be found on Google Classroom. Student applications are due by 11:59 p.m. CT on October 15, 2021.

New: The Cooke College Scholarship is a scholarship program available to high-achieving seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation’s best four-year universities. Eligibility requirements include the following:
- GPA: 3.5 or above
- Demonstrate financial need
- Intend to enroll in a four year university in the fall of 2022
New: Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship, Must be a current high school senior, and be a citizen of the United States to apply. Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks. For more information and to apply visit Elks Most Valuable Student . The deadline is November 15, 2021.

New: The Class of 2022 UT Promise is now open! UT Promise is a last-dollar scholarship for students accepted into undergraduate programs at UT Knoxville, Chattanooga, Martin, Memphis and Southern. In order to become eligible for UT Promise, students must apply no later than December 15, 2021.

The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest: The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest is officially open! We’re now accepting submissions from high school students for the 2022 contest—and students can win up to $10,000 for participating! Deadline is January 14th. Tennessee Concrete Essay Contest: The Tennessee Concrete Association is sponsoring their annual High School Essay Contest. The contest is open to students ages 16-18 and the deadline to submit entries is Friday January 7th. Cash prizes will be awarded. For more information see thesee the link on Google Classrooms.
New: Deadline to apply extended The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. This one-of-a-kind scholarship may be used at accredited colleges or universities in the U.S.
Criteria to apply:
- 2022 Coolidge Scholarship applicants must intend to enroll full-time at an accredited U.S. college or university as an undergraduate for the first time in fall 2023. Students in their junior year of high school are eligible to apply.
- 2022 Coolidge Scholarship applicants must be citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States of America by the 2022 scholarship deadline.
- 2022 Coolidge Scholarship applicants cannot be the immediate family member of any current employee or

New: The USDA has two Scholars programs that offer scholarships for students seeking a bachelor’s degree at an eligible 1890 and 1994 Land-Grant Universities in the field of agriculture, food, natural resource sciences or other related. High school and current college students are eligible to apply for these two programs which provide full tuition, fees, books, room and board, and a summer internship which may convert to full-time employment with USDA after graduation. The attachment provides details on the nation’s 1890s and 1994s colleges and universities. The deadline to apply for both scholarships has now been extended to February 15, 2022. To be eligible, students must be on track to graduate, plan on attending a college or technical school, and special consideration will be given to relatives of Citizens National Bank employees. Citizens National Bank will award one senior from Norhview Academy a $500 scholarship. To be eligible, students must be on track to graduate, plan on attending a college or university in Tennessee, and special consideration will be given to relatives of Citizens National Bank employees. The Ned McWherter Scholars Program is intended to encourage academically superior Tennessee high school graduates to attend college in Tennessee. Tennessee high school seniors starting their last semester in high school may apply.
To be eligible, the applicant must:
- Be a resident of Tennessee, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and attend an eligible Tennessee college or university full time, and
- Have at least a 3.5 unweighted cumulative grade point average, and
- Have a minimum composite score of 29 on the ACT (or concordant equivalent score on the SAT).
Applications are available by clicking on the link below (TSAC Student Portal). Awards are very competitive and are based on limited funding. Renewal applicants are given first priority. TSAC must receive the completed application and required attachments by February 15. You must let your counselor know when you have completed the application so your transcript and ACT score report can be sent. To apply, see the link on Google Classrooms
New: WS Scholarship Application Deadline: The Walters State Scholarship application period ends February 1st. Students who have applied, been admitted and activated their MYWS accounts can apply; students log into the application with their MYWS credentials. (This is free money - on top of TN Promise!! New: East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) is happy to announce that ETF 2021 Scholarship Applications are now available on our website . ETF scholarship applications must be completed and submitted online. ETF uses a Common Application for the scholarships. A copy of the Guide to Completing Your Common Scholarship Application and a listing of each scholarship program the Foundation offers in your county or at your high school is available on Google Classrooms. Sevier County Credit Union
Please see attached copy of scholarship application that is found on our website. Deadline to apply is February 28th. Students must go to the website and complete the application. New: The Sevier County Education Association Melena Brackins Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to a student who plans to pursue a career in Education. The application is on Google Classrooms and is due May 6th.
New: The Debbie Jenkins scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a senior. The application is on Google Classrooms and the deadline to apply is April 26th.
New: The Joyce Whaley Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a senior. The application is on Google classrooms and the deadline to apply is April 26th.
Sevier County Farm Bureau is offering two $2500 scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in agriculture. The application is on Google Classrooms and is due by May 6th.
New: Sevierville Sunrise Rotary Club and Sevierville Noon Day Scholarship are a $1,000 scholarship and the deadline to apply is April 22nd. Applications available on Google Classrooms
New: Turner and Velma Sims is a $250 scholarship and the deadline is April 22nd. Application available on Google Classrooms
New: The Dollywood Foundation is offering a $5,000 scholarship to a student in Sevier County who is interested in pursuing a career in hospitality or tourism. Application available on Google Classrooms.
New: The Golden Eagle Scholarship was established to increase access to higher education for Latino youth in East Tennessee. This scholarship is made possible by the presenting sponsors of the 2022 Latino College & Resource Fair (LCRF). Scholarship awards will range from $1,000 to $3,000.
Qualifying Applicants must:
- Graduate from High School in 2022 from one of the following counties: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne,
Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, or Sevier.
- Be of Latino/Hispanic descent
- Have a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.75
To be considered for the scholarship, a complete application must include:
- Complete Google Application Form
- Personal essay response of 300-500 words (upload or email)
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, coach, mentor, etc. (upload or email)
- Unofficial HS transcript showing courses and GPA (upload or email)

New: The Juanita Swaggerty Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship awarded to one senior from Nothview Academy. The application is on Google Classrooms and students who have enrolled in a Culinary Arts class are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is April 15th.
New: The Lonas Swaggerty Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship awarded to one senior from Northview Academy. The application is on Google Classrooms and students who participate in FFA are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is April 15th.
New: The Northview Youth Athletic Association will award a $500 scholarship to one senior who completed two seasons of Northview Youth League Football or Cheer and completed 10 hours of community service with the league. The application is on Google Classrooms and the deadline to apply is May 1st.
Swaggerty Dolly Parton: The Swaggertys Dolly Parton Scholarship is now open for applications. See the requirements below; they will use an online application this year and the link to apply is on Google Classrooms. The deadline to apply is April 13th.
