Remote Learning Guide for Students & Families
In an effort to provide continuous learning for all its students, the Sevier County Board of Education is granting families the option of selecting a remote learning option if they do not feel comfortable with the on-campus environment during the 2020-2021 school year. Remote learning will be a more structured system than it was last spring, with instruction by Sevier County School System teachers. Expectations in terms of attendance, grading, and accountability will be the same for remote learning students as those on campus. Active parent involvement will be key to student success in the remote learning option as students will potentially need adult guidance during the remote learning school day. Daily student participation will be required to verify attendance. Students will receive grades on assignments and participate in classroom and state assessments.
