School Traffic Safety Policies

Parents and Guardians,

We would like to seek your cooperation to help ensure the safety of our students each morning at drop off.  This is especially impoartant as some of our students' small physique makes them less visible to motorists, especially early in the monring when it is still dark.  We appreciate your help with improving the overall safety of our studetns and keeping a smooth traffic flow each day at Sevierville Intermediate.  Please do not block the crosswalks when dropping off your child in the mornings.  Also, please put your vehicle in park until you are motioned forward that the crosswalk is completely clear.

This letter reiterates the road safety policies of the schools.

  • Resuce vehicle speed and stay alert for pedestirans in the school zone.
  • Wait to drop off your child only at the designated drop-off point.
  • Reinforce correct road safety behavior such as using the pedestrian crossing and looking forward at all times when driving.
  • Remind your child to look both ways before crossing, and to ensure that all vehicles have come to a complete stop before crossing.
  • Please do not blow your horn indiscriminately.

Thank you for your help in making the trafic flow safer each morning at Sevierville Intermediate.
