The Sevier County School System, in keeping with the mandate from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), aims to provide the least restrictive environment for all students. We recognize and encourage parent participation as an essential and vital element of the total education process.

Together, parents and the school form a team to determine the continuum of quality services available for all students based on their Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Fellow educators work collaboratively to provide personalized learning experiences through a continuum of services focused on rigourous academic achievement, career skill development, and personal independence skills to support the individualized needs of each student.

The Special Education Department provides a Family Support Center, an organization committed to providing families the opportunity to live and enjoy a productive, independent, and fulfilling life. The mission of the Family Support Center is to empower families in finding the resources they need through a community of volunteers who will provide family support and education about available services.

Please contact us with any questions or concerns you have regarding your child's education.
