2026 Kindergarten Registration Art Contest Winner

Every year, as new kindergarteners prepare to take their very first steps into the Sevier County School System, they receive a custom coloring page on the cover of their registration packets. While parents and guardians handle the paperwork, these young, eager artists get to dive right into some coloring fun.

But the creativity doesn't start with the kindergarteners—it starts with our high schoolers.

The school district annually invites students in grades 10 through 12 to submit original digital or hand-drawn artwork to be the district's featured artist for the year. The contest bridges the gap between the district's oldest and youngest learners, allowing teens to personally welcome the incoming class.

This year, the Sevier County School System is proud to announce that the winning artist is Kylie Thornton, an 11th-grade student from Seymour High School. Kylie’s original design was selected as the official coloring page for the incoming kindergarten class, providing a warm, creative welcome to the district's newest students.
